Gal Cohen Gromi broke the Israeli record with 100 butterflies Israel today

A busy and crowded evening, the Israelis spent the evening (Thursday) at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest, when for the first time, four swimmers together took part in the presentation of the evening in the semi-finals, which opened with a new Israeli record. 

 In the 100-meter butterfly, Gal Cohen Gromi touched the wall at the seventh end - with a time of 51.79 seconds, and broke Tomer Frenkel's national record set last year at Wingate by two hundredths, but that was enough for him to finish 15th overall.

One place behind him was the outgoing record holder Frenkel with 51.83 seconds. 

Aviv Barzali, 20, participated in the semifinals for the 200 backstroke.

When she achieved a great result of 2: 10.42 minutes, she broke her own Israeli record from last year in Rome by 34 hundredths, and was one place away from a historic final for her when she was ranked ninth.

The last Israeli to jump into the water was Meron Heruti, who took part in the 50-meter free throw.

The Israeli set a relatively disappointing result of 22.00 and finished in 13th place.

10th place for Belcher and Bobricki in the free duet at the World Championships 

 In a duet of the Israeli team in artistic swimming, Eden Belcher and Shelly Bobricki finished in tenth place in the final of the free exercise at the World Championships in Budapest.

The two Olympic swimmers scored 85.6 points, exactly the same score they received in the exercise qualifiers, and thus also remained in the place from which they qualified for the finals.

 As you may recall, before the current championship an Israeli duet never qualified for the World Championship final, and in this championship Eden and mine, under the guidance of coaches Anna Teres and Svetlana Belcher, did it twice - tenth place in the technical exercise, and now also tenth place in the free exercise. .  

In the cumulative score of the two exercises, which is also the Olympic ranking method, the duet swimmers finished in seventh place, and entered the Olympic swimming money squad for the first time ever in the artistic swimming industry.

The one who won gold in the competition is the Chinese duet, with a score of 95.5667 points, Ukraine won the silver with 91.1667 points, and Bard Austria with 92.8 points.
