A big panic was recorded yesterday (Wednesday) during the World Swimming Championships taking place in Budapest.
American artistic swimmer Anita Albers fainted while in the water, and only a quick response from her coach Andre Puentes prevented a disaster in the Hungarian capital.
When Albers finished performing her exercise in the individual competition, Puentes noticed something was wrong.
The American did not respond and drowned in the pool, Puentes jumped to save her and then said: "It was very scary. I had to jump because the rescuers did not do it."
Eventually, Albers was evacuated on a stretcher to the medical compound near the pool and now her condition is well defined.
For Albers this is not the first time she has fainted, after the same thing happened to her last year in a pre-Olympic competition held in Barcelona.

Now, the plan is for Albers to rest on Thursday in hopes of being able to face the American team again in the team competition on Friday, but it will still undergo tests in the coming days that will try to diagnose what caused the fainting.
While her teammates and spectators in the hall were startled when they noticed what was happening in the pool, Puentes recounted what was happening from his point of view and concluded: "It felt like a whole hour. I shouted for rescuers to enter the water but they probably did not understand me. It's an Olympic final, but now she's feeling good. "
