President Yitzhak Herzog congratulates Yoram Arbel on his 80th birthday (PR)
Yoram Arbel, one of the greatest broadcasters in the history of Israeli sports, is celebrating his 80th birthday today (Thursday).
The veteran broadcaster, who has accompanied the leading sporting events in Israel and around the world for decades, continues to this day with broadcasts from the various leagues and in honor of the personal milestone, President Yitzhak Herzog greeted him with an exciting message.
"In recent decades, your voice has become an integral part of Israeli sports and public and general broadcasting. I always remember how much my father, (former president) Haim Herzog, loved to talk to you and listen to you.
" Who pinned the whole country to the screen, you have always been there in the broadcast position, broadcasting, encouraging and celebrating with us achievements that have gone down in history have remained etched in our consciousness quite a bit thanks to you.
"In the Olympics, the World Cup, the European Basketball Cup and the Premier League, an entire country was fascinated to see and hear you in the happy moments as well as in the losses and disappointments."
