“You rarely experience that”: Nagelsmann enthusiastically talks about his first encounter with Mané

Julian Nagelsmann is very enthusiastic about Sadio Mané's commitment.

The coach raves about the first encounter with the superstar.

Munich – Every coach is probably happy about high-class newcomers.

But Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann seems to be particularly impressed by Sadio Mané's star purchase.

At the introductory press conference (here in the ticker for reading) of the Senegalese, everything that has rank and name at FC Bayern sat behind the desk, the word "world star" was often mentioned.

Nagelsmann mingled with the journalists and attended the PK as a spectator.

He then gave an internal interview.

“Right from the first interview, he made a very, very selfless impression.

That's unusual for a player with such a big name," reports the Landsberger.

The man from Senegal is more of a foreign word - he comes from the humblest circumstances of a large family of 18 in an African village.

Nagelsmann is impressed by the down-to-earth nature of the 30-year-old.

“He said very cautiously: he can imagine any position.

You rarely experience that in a first conversation.

After that, our urge to get the transfer through the stage was even greater," he reveals.

Mané has every reason to make claims: he has won almost everything there is to win at club level with Liverpool and immediately takes on a special position at Bayern.

Instead, he makes the record champions more variable.

"Sadio is a player who can play four or five positions without any problems and can also switch during the game," Nagelsmann rejoices.

Mané was also asked about his preferred position himself - and referred to his new coach with a smile: "You have to ask him that."

The Mané obligation could possibly have another effect, at least the Bayern bosses hope so.

"The players look very closely: 'Who does the club get?'

Of course, a transfer like this also has an internal effect,” says Oliver Kahn, hoping for a signal effect.

Primarily in the case of Robert Lewandowski, of course - the Pole may actually still be able to change his mind.

When asked about the exceptional striker, Kahn remained adamant again.
