This is how the guests reacted to the joint celebration of the district and local newspaper Wardrobe Kick, hugs and other side stories from the town hall

Soccer in the foyer: you just can't stop kicking.

The B-Juniors of FC Forstern disappeared at short notice: first to play football in the cloakroom area, then on the Alois-Schießl-Platz.

Every minute of training is important, after all, coach Max Kaifel has announced that he wants to be in the top three in the new season - mind you in the Bayernliga.

Here's the thing: editor Gabi Zierz presents the trophy for second place to ice and open water swimmer Franz Herbst.

Why actually Charlie?

That's what moderator Wolfgang Krzizok wanted to know from Michael "Charly" Dörfler.

That comes from his football days, explains the chairman of KC Isen.

"At that time there was Charly Dörfel in the national team." He knows the second honored bowling official, Egon Brabenetz, from numerous duels against KC Neufinsing.

"These are always highlights," said Dörfler.

The Neufinsingers are currently better, "but we won the cup".

Brabenetz countered with a grin: "That was our intention, because we knew anyway that the cup would be canceled because of Corona."

Wolfgang Krzizok's embrace with Doris Zehetmeier, tennis player at SpVgg Neuching, was particularly intimate.

The simple reason: she is the daughter of Rudi Zehetmeier, the moderator's cousin.

Krzizok didn't want to wish much success for the Bayernliga derby of the over 30 women against TC Erding.

His daughter Janine plays at the TCE, but she won't be there because of a wedding.

Figure skater Jessica Hahmann received a lot of applause, here with sports director Dieter Priglmeir.

Video messages: Four selected athletes could not be at the gala, and all had a sporting reason, as they explained in their video messages: Theresa Faltermaier is at a table tennis tournament in Hungary, swimmer Andreas March is already at the DM in Berlin, Löwe Stefan Lex had a test match in Aschau, and the newly crowned Sportsman of the Year, Simon Zachenhuber, is preparing for the Erdinger Boxnacht on July 2, where he will fight the main fight.

Quick-witted in the interview: Luis Hofmaier (r.) received the trophy from the hands of editor-in-chief Timo Aichele.

The district administrator's role model was motorcycle ace Toni Mang.

Martin Bayerstorfer revealed this in an interview.

And that he is an enthusiastic sports shooter, which is also expressed in his memberships in six shooting clubs.

He made it clear once again how important sport is to the district, which is the only one far and wide that voluntarily helps clubs with their investments.

Jessica Hahmann received applause for stepping back.

The figure skater from Dorfen, who had just been admired in the film doing a Bielmann pirouette, explained that the triple jumps would not be enough for the time being.

The reason: she starts training as a nurse at the kbo-Klinikum in Taufkirchen.

Great applause from the audience - above all from Rosi Zachenhuber, mother of Amelie and Simon and herself a nurse.

reactions of the guests

“The evening went far beyond an award ceremony in a local newspaper.

The sport and the athletes were celebrated in an attractive setting, with modern technology that was almost ready for TV and expert moderation.

From the superstars to the up-and-coming talents, all of the award winners were super likeable and great figureheads for the sport.” Petra Bauernfeind, Deputy Mayor of the City of Erding.

“It was an outstanding event.

With the pictures and films, everyone got their money's worth.

Varied, exciting – and it was also quiet among the guests.

Again please!

There was a lot of work behind it, a lot of praise from my husband Martin and me.

Thank you for this beautiful sports honor.” Christiane Santen, Ski World Cup winner at the Masters.

“We were thrilled.

It was a very nice, successful, entertaining evening.

Wolfgang Krzizok was a great moderator who led the evening through in a very amusing way.

The musical accompaniment to the film contributions was also very appropriate.

The great effort was worth it.” Corinna Gunst and Karin Keller, Reiseatelier Erding.

“I found the event to be very entertaining and varied.

The almost three hours flew by.

I personally liked it very much.

I hope this format stays the same in the future, then I'll be happy to do it again, provided I qualify for it through sport, of course.

My compliments also to Dieter Priglmeir for the idea and of course for the whole organization.” Franz Groß, Upper Bavarian duathlon champion, age group M 65

“It was a unique event.

That has never existed before in Erding.

It is gigantic that there are such excellent athletes in the district of Erding.

You can only take your hat off to that.” Georg Scharl, entrepreneur and project developer from Dorfen.

“I found the event to be very professional and appreciative of the athletes.

The videos, in particular, were great to watch.

Wolfgang led the evening charmingly and teased a lot of interesting things out of the award winners.

I would like to congratulate all athletes on their outstanding performance.” Stefan Haberl, Mayor of Taufkirchen.

"Thank you very much for the perfectly organised, entertaining athletes' gala.

It was a great evening.

My thanks to the whole team.” Moosinning's Mayor Georg Nagler.

“I thought it was a very nice, colorful and varied event.

I liked the program very much, I'm sure nobody got bored.” Jutta Kistner, Managing Director of the Stadthalle.

“I really like the new format.

That should be kept.

The athlete's honor recently suffered a little from the fact that it took a long time and lost attention.

That wasn't the case this time.

Wolfgang Krzizok was an excellent moderator, you just have to be careful that he doesn't start singing too.

And sports director Dieter Priglmeir is really a very respected person.” Rainer Mehringer, 3rd District Administrator.

"It was a great atmosphere.

It's also great that it was so quiet and everyone watched when someone was honored.

That was respectful and a worthy setting.” Amelie Zachenhuber, Sportswoman of the Year 2020/21.

"Very big compliments.

The invitation to the sports gala was one of the best pieces of news I've received lately.

Athletes of all kinds were brought together.

It's very motivating when you see all the top athletes, and you can be there too.

Hopefully there will be another one next year.” Wolfgang Lang, head of the football department at FC Schwaig.

“An event like this gives a lot of impetus.

We are very proud that we were allowed to be there.

Maybe some will say: That was so great, the trophy doesn't matter at the competition, but I want to be invited back to the sports gala.” Bernhard Lanzinger, youth coach Germania Grucking.
