Andrea Jaeger 1983
The former top tennis player Andrea Jaeger from the USA raises allegations of multiple sexual harassment during her active career against a former employee of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), the association of professional tennis players.
This happened at least 30 times in the women's changing room, the 57-year-old told the British "Independent".
Harassment in the locker room and at a party
At the age of 16, another WTA employee gave her alcohol at a players' party without her own knowledge and later tried to kiss her.
The professional organization was asked to comment on Friday.
Jaeger had turned professional at the age of 14, reached the finals at Wimbledon and the French Open and finished second in the world rankings.
She ended her career at the age of 19 due to a shoulder injury, and she was unsuccessful in making comebacks.
Razor blades in shoes
Jaeger also reported derogatory comments from other players.
In addition, the strings of her racket were cut and she found razor blades in her shoes.
"I changed in portable toilets or toilet stalls because I didn't want to deal with other people's comments, interest, and actions," Jaeger said.
