John Dibertolomeo is expected to stay at Maccabi Tel Aviv next season as well, thus completing six seasons in a row in the yellow uniform.
Dibertolomeo, who celebrated his 30th birthday just a few days ago, arrived at Maccabi in the summer of 2017 and has since become one of the yellow and valued players at the yellow club.
Two years ago he was also appointed team captain.
Oded Katash, who greatly appreciates the player, wants to see him continue for another season, so the Yellows are not expected to exercise the option of leaving them and will expire at the end of the month.
In fact, Dibertolomeo is currently the second player to continue for sure after Roman Sorkin, as it remains to be seen what will be decided regarding Yiftach Ziv who holds a contract for next season without an option to leave for both sides.
Meanwhile, Dibertolomeo landed in Israel yesterday (Thursday) and joined the team's training ahead of the window games of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers to be held next weekend.
The guard is also expected to be a national at the window in August and at the European Championships in September.
