A week after Golden State won the championship, tonight (Thursday through Friday) the 2022 Draft was held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
While the current draft has not had a big and promising name like Zion Williamson, yet this draft may have a significant impact on the near and distant future in the NBA.
Duke College's Forward-center Paulo Bancaro was selected first by the Orlando Magic.
Bankro is considered the safest stock in the draft and the Magic won a very promising high.
Oklahoma City, which won No. 2, went for Chet Holmgren from Gonzaga College.
Jabari Smith, who averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, two assists and a block at Auburn College was selected by Houston.
Keegan Marie was selected by Sacramento in fourth place and Jayden Ivy went to Detroit in the fifth pick.
