Syria's junior football team defeated Lebanon today, with a goal to none, in its second match in the West Asian Championship, which is currently being held in the Jordanian city of Aqaba.
The only goal of the meeting was scored by Abdullah Batal at the eighteenth minute of the match.
With this victory, our team leads the second group with six points, followed by the Kuwaiti and Lebanese teams, each with three points, and finally the Palestinian team without points.
Our team opened the tournament with an important victory over Palestine with two goals to one, and it will meet its third match in the tournament with its Kuwaiti counterpart next Sunday.
The first and second of the two groups of the tournament qualify for the semi-finals, and the finalists will play the final match on the thirtieth of this month.
