The rescue of Andrea Fuentes to Anita Álvarez in the swimming world championship, in pictures

The swimmer fainted during her exercise at the World Swimming Championships and was left unconscious at the bottom of the pool. Her coach, former Spanish Olympic swimmer Andrea Fuentes, was the one who jumped into the water to rescue her. Between her and a member of the organization they managed to get her out of the water, but hours later, Fuentes pointed out how unprepared the World Cup staff was. "I've seen how the lifeguards were stunned and I jumped into the water directly towards her," she explained in an interview for the program 'El Larguero' on Cadena SER
