It starts again.

The footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos have started training for the new Bayernliga round. Also there are ten newcomers.

Hallbergmoos

– VfB Hallbergmoos is back in Bayernliga mode.

After an intensive first season at the higher amateur level, including staying up in the league via relegation, the club now knows better what to expect.

The most important lesson from the first Bayernliga year: VfB started preparations on Wednesday with a much broader squad.

But a week before the actual start of training, there was a lot of activity in the sports park.

The footballers, who had been used less last season, met there, as well as a number of training guests.

Some of them were then committed - with the result that all positions are now filled twice.

In the past round, for example, the Hallbergers did not have enough alternatives on the offensive flanks.

In some cases, just a few failures meant that the coaches had to change the entire game system.

James Joseph, Brandon Happi Monthé and many more

After the trial training sessions, the number of newcomers has now increased to ten.

James Joseph is an exciting player: in 2017/18 he scored 28 goals in 33 games for the national league club SE Freising and was last active with Saint Louis in the first division in the Seychelles.

Monty Mendama is also new.

There, the lightning-fast kicker was used as an emergency solution in the center of the storm.

In Hallbergmoos, coach Matthias Strohmaier wants to show off his pace on the offensive flank.

With Brandon Happi Monthé (FC Ingolstadt U 19), Aldin Bajramovic (19, SV Aubing), James Joseph (26, Saint Louis), Osaro Aiteniora (28, SE Freising), Maurice David (20, FC Ismaning), Cengiz Basaran ( 19, TuS Geretsried), Monty Mendama (22, VfR Garching), David Lucksch (22, FC Deisenhofen),

Keeper Dario Pavlovic (18, TSV 1860 Munich II) and Julian Kersting (27, VfL Oldenburg) made the squad younger and wider.

In addition, Fabian Veit (29) is a new goalkeeping coach.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Strohmaier: "We now want to continue this development seamlessly."

Strohmaier is satisfied with his new team, especially since the club has only lost a few important players like Leon Schmit or Mert Sahin.

The coach is happy that the core of the team, which was so strong in the second half of the season, is staying together and that the leading players have extended their stay.

"We can build on that," says Strohmaier.

"We now want to continue this development seamlessly." Now it is important to quickly integrate the newcomers in the short preparation.

However, the coach is optimistic "because everyone in the club has understood how Bayernliga football works".
