Damascus-SANA

Many in the sports community rely on football academies to prepare a qualified generation in accordance with the standards of the modern game at all levels, to be able to launch Syrian football and transfer it to a good level in the coming years.

The work of training centers and football schools began several years ago, randomly and individually, without organization or technical supervision by the federation.

What the academies have, what they should do and their goals in Syria was the focus of the meeting that SANA conducted with the director of the Al-Baraem Department in the Union, Rahaf Karroum, where she said that the union had prepared a licensing system for the academies that included three levels “bronze, silver and gold,” and each level includes specific criteria that fit the level at which it is licensed. .

Krum added: One of the most prominent technical criteria for the academy’s work is the good qualification of football talents by obligating it to appoint a technical director with an Asian training certificate (A and B) according to the level of licensing, determining the number of players and age groups in it, and obligating the academy to assign at least one goalkeeper coach, provided that the Federation supervises Work through an annual technical plan submitted by it, where the latter conducts field tours to see the mechanism of work and the progress of training and its effectiveness and achievement of the desired goals.

And Karroum continued: There are about 100 football schools between annual academies and summer schools, and there are only two academies that obtained the golden license, in addition to a number of academies under licensing in several governorates, indicating that the first championship of the academies in Damascus was in September 2019, which is the first work of the Al-Baraem Department. Which was established in the same year. It also organized a central tournament in addition to sub-tournaments in Damascus, Homs, Tartous, Lattakia and Aleppo.

The profit aspect of registering players in the academies was not canceled at first, but with the development of the level of players, the people in charge of them tended to demand the rights of their elite players, as Chrome indicated that the Federation worked to enhance the level of technical work according to its licensing system, in addition to organizing a competition calendar, which The competition between academies and clubs will increase to show their talents, which will reflect positively on the level of Syrian football.

The Director of the Al-Baraem Department expressed her optimism that these academies will achieve a qualitative leap in the coming years to advance the reality of our football, although we are still in our first steps in the field of work in the academies, and we will spare no effort to organize their work in an optimal manner with the presence of specialized cadres and others seeking to develop their level at all levels.
