She had not won a single tournament for three years: Caroline Garcia returned to success this Saturday in Germany.
At the Bad Homburg tournament, the French ended her great week with a victory in the final against the Canadian Bianca Andreescu (6-7 [5], 6-4, 6-4), after having been with her back to the wall for a long time.
A good omen before her first round at Wimbledon, scheduled for Monday against Britain's Yuriko Miyazaki.

Nothing was easy for the Lyonnaise in this final.
After a tight first set, finally conceded in the tie-break, she was quickly taken down in the second set, where she found herself trailing 4-2 by her opponent (n°64).
But the 75th player in the world managed to turn the tide, lining up four games in a row.
In the decisive set, she did it again: led 2-0, she finally won with forceps, 6-4.
First final since 2019
This is Garcia's eighth career title, his third on grass.
She had not played in the final since June 2019 and a victory in Nottingham.
But the Frenchwoman, who made changes in her coaching, appeared refreshed, in the wake of her doubles title with Kristina Mladenovic at Roland-Garros.
She notably won a tough duel against her compatriot Alizé Cornet in the semi-finals (7-6 [11], 3-6, 7-5).
