The Spanish women's soccer team won with enormous authority (7-0) against an Australia with many casualties in the Nuevo Colombino de Huelva.

In their penultimate preparation match before the European Championship in England (on Wednesday they play against Italy), Jorge Vilda's team broke loose in the second half.

He did not score the first goal until the stroke of halftime through Aitana, but later, in the first 11 minutes after the restart, Mariona Caldentey, Esther Guerrero and Lucía García scored, who repeated it less than 10 minutes from the end.

Irene Guerrero closed the account with another double.

On Monday, the coach will announce the final list of 23 players.

Spain, located in group B of the Euro, will debut on Friday, July 8 against Finland (6:00 p.m.), and then will face Germany (Tuesday 12, 9:00 p.m.) and Denmark (Saturday 16, 9:00 p.m.).

In the first minute, the team already had its first chance.

Lucía García stretched her leg inside the area to touch a long ball, but goalkeeper Teagan Micah intervened in time.

This opportunity opened the monologue of the national team, which ended the night with 82% possession on a pitch that, apparently, left a lot to be desired.

The best for the Aussies came in the 22nd minute, when a good string of passes was finished off by Gorry with a shot off the crossbar.

Spain's pace dropped somewhat in the second half of the first act, until a great shot by Aitana Bonmatí from the edge of the left wing kicked off the team's scoring festival.

And just after the break, another good long shot, this time from Mariona Caldentey and with the right, made it 2-0 and introduced the duel in a whirlwind of goals.

In just four minutes, another two goals, headed: from Esther González, who had come on after the break, to an assist from Caldentey, and from Lucía García, who also scored the fifth with a dry cross shot.

In full downhill, Irene Guerrero closed the win with another double.
