On this point, the general public, the followers and probably even the runners agree.

There is only one big favorite for the upcoming edition of the Tour de France, which starts on July 1: Tadej Pogacar.

According to the survey, one in two French people should follow the test this year.

They are 7% to believe in the chances of David Gaudu, the Habs being the most cited in the answers.

Many French people also think that Julian Alaphilippe (60%) and Romain Bardet should aim for a good result in the general classification, where 60% think that Gaudu should aim for stage victories, just like Guillaume Martin (62 %).

With the French, the Tour remains popular: 49% of the population should follow the race, more than the last two years (46% in 2020, 48% in 2021), after a regular decline in the past.

The event is also much less associated with doping than in previous years: where they were 82% to make this connection in 2016, they are only 68% in 2022.

In the minds of the general public, the Grand Boucle is mainly associated with the "popular" side (87%), "positive for tourism in France" (81%) and "festive" (72%).
