One of the biggest comebacks in Israeli football in recent years and in general, is underway.
Eran Zehavi officially signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv today and will strengthen the yellow squad for the 2022/23 season.
Zehavi returns in yellow, six years after leaving Israel for a second term abroad, during which he played four years in Chinese Guangzhou and became one of the greatest players in the club's history, and of course in the last two years at PSV Eindhoven, with whom he won the trophy this season and was within touching distance From the championship.
Even before that, the Israeli striker brought Hapoel Tel Aviv a big double with a championship goal in the 92nd minute of the 2010/11 season, and then went on to his first term abroad in the Italian Palermo uniform, and returned from the boot country straight to the yellow Maccabi uniform.
In his three-and-a-half seasons in the yellow, Zahavi took three consecutive championships and picked up the league's top scorer title three times, when in his last season (in which Hapoel B'Shlosha took the championship) he broke Nissim Elmaleh's mythological record, finishing with 35 goals.
