Baumgart will stay in Cologne until 2024
1. FC Köln has prematurely extended the contract with coach Steffen Baumgart by another year until June 30, 2024.
This was announced by the European Cup participants on Monday.
'We've been on good terms for a long time.
But we deliberately waited until everyone was there.
It's important that we not only had success, but also had fun," said Baumgart: "I'm sure the project isn't over yet."

Baumgart came to Cologne from the second division club SC Paderborn in the summer of 2021.
Other clubs such as FC Schalke 04, Hamburger SV and Hannover 96 were also interested in him at the time.
The 50-year-old led the FC, which had only just been saved in the relegation, with impressive football to the Conference League.
The extension of the contract had been in the offing for a long time, and both sides had made public statements to that effect.
