Among the players who are expected to come and participate in the main event, will be Omri Gandelman, a brake for Maccabi Netanya and the Israeli team.

And what is the connection between the Gandelman I gave and a basketball event in the capital?

As part of the main ceremony, Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon will present a lifetime achievement to Rami Gandelman, the 83-year-old grandfather of Omri, a Jerusalem basketball legend, and one of the oldest and best-known basketball coaches in the capital, who educated many generations of athletes in the city.

In a short video that came to us, Omri Gandelman himself is seen making his first steps in basketball with the push of the family and the influence of the grandfather.

In the end, he chose to move to football, and it is possible that Israeli basketball lost a real star.
