His tournament begins on Monday with a first round against the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
Hubert Hurkacz distinguished himself here last year by defeating the Russian Daniil Medvedev in the round of 16, then Roger Federer in the quarterfinals, before falling in the semis against the Italian Matteo Berrettini.
Last January, he failed in the 2nd round of the Australian Open against Adrian Mannarino.
His record includes five titles, including the Open de Moselle in Metz last year.
