The district league footballers of SVA Palzing lost 8-2 against Ampfing.

But the overall impression of the first week of training is still positive.

Palzing

– Gianluca Dello Buono imagined his debut as coach of the first team of SVA Palzing very differently.

The district league team lost 8-2 in the first test match against the state league team TSV Ampfing.

The high defeat was explainable and had several reasons.

"But of course I'm not satisfied with the result," emphasized Dello Buono.

The 36-year-old coach had to do without the Radlmaier brothers Marcel and Fabian on his first assignment.

The key players were at a wedding.

It wasn't the only failures: a total of seven players were missing - including the two newcomers Andre Bauer and Alexander Schneider.

In return, last year's youth soccer players Julian Mitterweger and Simon Rannertshauser-Widmann slipped into the 13-man squad.

Not the best conditions to stand up to a state league club.

"In terms of the result, the first half was okay."

However, Palzinger did quite well in the first half – even if they had to run after a deficit after just six minutes.

Ivan Rakonic scored the equalizer after 15 minutes, but the guests responded a little later.

Shortly before the half-time break, SVA goalkeeper Christian Berghammer had to reach behind him for the third time.

"In terms of the result, the first half was okay," said Dello Buono.

Then he had to add: "After the change of sides, all the dams broke."

The Ampfinger let the ball and the Palzinger run.

The tired SVA players had nothing to oppose the class of the national league.

The home team couldn’t get a grip on one footballer in particular: Valentino Gavric was the outstanding player on the pitch with four goals – all after the break.

Rakonic prevented a flawless four-pack with his second goal (76th), but the guests put the final point to the 2:8 final score shortly before the end of the game.

Such a clear defeat at the start of the friendly is tough, but Dello Buono doesn't want to lose the positive overall impression of the first week of training.

Next test match against SE Freising

“We have trained well.

Personally, it was great until the game.

We were even able to play eleven against eleven in training.

The boys thought it was great,” reports the new coach.

Dello Buono was also satisfied with the intensity.

The trainer also found positive words for newcomer Tim Bausch.

Bausch was the only new addition to the SVA team.

Up until his injury-related substitution after 23 minutes, Dello Buono attested him "a decent performance".
