It was just a matter of a few days since the official departure of Jocelyn Gourvennec on June 16.
Portuguese technician Paulo Fonseca arrived in Lille on Tuesday to sign his two-year contract for Les Dogues.

Aged 49, Fonseca had been without a club since last summer and his departure from AS Roma where he had given way to his compatriot José Mourinho.
After having made his classes in his country on the benches in particular of Paços de Ferreira, Porto or Braga, he had his first successes in Ukraine at Chakhtar Donetsk.
In 3 years spent in this club, he will win 104 games against 17 defeats and 18 draws.
