This was not the case with Lagat, who jumped from a trampoline that was more than three meters away from the waterline he was trying to reach, and was badly injured when he landed on the edge of the pool.

"When I was informed of this, I felt that my whole world had been destroyed.

The injury and surgeries are not expected to affect the fertility of Lagat, a father of two children aged 24 and 22.

"I do not delude myself that I will have more children. But it is nice to know that this possibility still exists, despite what I went through," he admitted.

The trauma from the bizarre injury, by the way, does not in any way affect his aspirations to continue participating in reality shows.

In fact, in the coming weeks he will be filmed for the new season "Ninja Germany".
