"We played really well for two quarters." This sentence from head coach Timm Fiege in the final huddle of the Erding Bulls summed up the game very well.

Regensburg/Erding – But because the Bulls let themselves be overrun by host Regensburg Phoenix in the other two quarters, they left the field with a 18:33 defeat and are still without points.

The Regensburg Phoenix showed who was in charge right from the first attack.

But the Bulls didn't give up that easily.

Only in the second quarter did Regensburg dominate the game without much resistance from the Bulls and thus led 33:6 at half-time.

After that, only the Bulls scored, but the race to catch up was no longer rewarded.

The first touchdown was scored by the Regensburg quarterback.

He was always good on his offense for gaining space for many yards.

After that, Erdinger marched across the field with runs from Ferley Witwer and catches from Maximilian Stacke and Alexander Rott until Kilian Mayer scored the touchdown.

The first quarter ended with a "big play" by Erdinger.

On defense, Evidanio Quinones III landed such a fierce tackle that the receiver lost the ball and Daryl Schubert captured it for the Bulls.

But then came the second quarter, in which the Erdingers stopped playing.

An interception by Phoenix turned into a touchdown.

Immediately afterwards, Regensburg scored again after the Bulls had to end their attack with a punt.

The hosts made more points from the return.

The next interception followed a short time later, and Phoenix again turned the turnover into a touchdown with a perfect pass.

The Bulls didn't gain momentum with their offense and had to punt again, and before the end of the first half Regensburg scored another six points for the half-time score of 33:6.

After that, it initially looked like the drama would continue.

Regensburg were again close to the goal line when Dominik Finck intercepted the ball directly on the line and carried it back a good twelve yards.

Timon Ebner and Maximilian Stacke got important first downs, so quarterback Keith Hilson finally found Maximilian Stacke with a pass, who finally got another six points for Erding.

Early in the final quarter, the Bulls got to the 1-yard line again, but missed a touchdown.

The defense forced Phoenix to punt again and again, and so the offense was finally able to gain many yards with a play worth seeing.

Keith Hilson threw a little too short for his receiver, the Phoenix defense player didn't catch the ball but tapped it up, and Aurelien Voss grabbed the leather egg.

He could only be tackled 30 yards from the end zone.

Finally, Evidanio Quinones III caught the pass for the last points to the final score of 18:33 from Erdinger's point of view.

And so the Erding Bulls are still at the bottom of the table in the American Football Regional League.
