Following the success of the youth team in the European Championship, the chairman of the Football Association, Oren Hasson, will initiate a meeting at the end of the championship in order to come up with ideas aimed at promoting Israeli football and especially ensuring that youth players are more likely to become Premier League players.

There are already some ideas on the agenda.

The first is to reduce the number of foreigners from six to five, a move that the large groups that want to reach and succeed in European enterprises are supposed to oppose.

Another possibility is that no foreigners will play in the national league at all.

Another idea is to return the reserve league that has been tried in the past so that players who do not get to play in the regular league rounds, can continue to play in a competitive league and through it gain a chance to jump into the squad in the first league.

Another option that will be examined is a regulation that will require teams to let players under a certain age play in the squad.

"There is no doubt that we need to think of actions that will promote the Israeli footballer who is finishing his youth," a senior member of the Football Association said last night (Tuesday).

"We need to leverage the success of this team into operational action so as not to lose the young players who are ejected from the circle. This championship has taught us that there are good football players in the country, but we need to embrace them and take care of them."

It is important to emphasize that any change that is received can only be implemented in the next game season.
