Barça will probably increase Lewandowski's offer

According to media reports, FC Barcelona has once again increased its offer for Bayern Munich's top scorer Robert Lewandowski.

The "Bild" reported on Wednesday that the Spanish top club is now offering a transfer fee of 40 million euros and five million euros in bonus payments for the Polish national soccer player.

According to information from Sport1, the offer from the Catalans should be received by the German record champions in the coming hours.

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that this was Barça's final offer for the 33-year-old striker.

The club wants to advance the negotiations with Munich in a timely manner and hopes for an agreement in July.

Lewandowski's contract with Munich runs until June 30, 2023. The striker had stated several times that he wanted to leave the German champions this year.

The club managers around CEO Oliver Kahn had ruled out a transfer.

Lukaku already at Milan airport

Belgium international Romelu Lukaku is set to return to Italian top-flight club Inter Milan.

A video was published online on Wednesday by several Italian sports media, showing the 29-year-old coming out of the VIP area at Milan's Linate Airport.

"Extremely satisfied," he said, Lukaku and put on a Nerazzurri scarf for the photographers present.

According to reports, Lukaku had the usual medical check-up at Inter.

There have long been rumors that the previous striker will return from London's Premier League club FC Chelsea – coached by German coach Thomas Tuchel.

Lukaku would return to his previous employers Inter after just one season in England.

The reason is believed to be that he was no longer satisfied with the Blues after injury breaks and internal squabbling.

Lukaku won the Serie A championship by a clear margin with Inter in the 2020/21 season under the then coach Antonio Conte – now coach of Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite a long break: Ibrahimović will probably stay with Milan

The Swedish veteran star Zlatan Ibrahimović has apparently agreed on a contract extension for another year with the Italian soccer champions AC Milan.

According to information from the Gazzetta dello Sport, the 40-year-old wants to make financial sacrifices for this, his salary should in future be strongly linked to the number of his games.

Ibrahimović is expected to be out for seven months due to his knee surgery at the end of May.

Most recently, the striker, who returned to Milan in January 2020, is said to have earned seven million euros.

But he doesn't seem to be thinking about retiring.

"Time is on my side," says Ibrahimović's last post on Instagram.

The upper salary limit makes Witsel tremble

After his time in Dortmund, Axel Witsel would like to join the top Spanish team Atlético Madrid – and Madrid would like Witsel on a free transfer.

The change is already "practically done," said President Enrique Cerezo.

And yet the transfer continues.

According to media reports, the reason is the salary cap in the Spanish league.

According to the Spanish radio broadcaster "COPE", Atlético is currently significantly exceeding the upper limit and can therefore not register any new players.

Among other things, Antoine Griezmann was decisive for this.

The 31-year-old striker was loaned out by FC Barcelona for two years last summer.

A purchase obligation could soon come into effect, which would massively restrict the salary scope.

Gaudino leaves Sandhausen

Second division club SV Sandhausen parted ways with midfielder Gianluca Gaudino.

According to the club, both sides agreed to terminate the existing contract.

The 25-year-old, the son of former national player Maurizio Gaudino, moved to Hardtwald from the Swiss first division club Young Boys Bern a year ago.

However, Gaudino only made six appearances last season and was loaned out to the Austrian first division club SCR Altach at the beginning of the year.

Gaudino made his professional debut under Pep Guardiola in the Bundesliga.

Despite promising approaches, the midfielder was unable to assert himself and has been touring from club to club ever since.
