Maccabi Tel Aviv this morning (Wednesday) signed Lorenzo Brown, the Euroleague's assistant king last season, for the next two years.

The excellent American guard (1.96m, 31) joins after a record season in the Kazan uniform and brings with him three seasons of experience at the top factory in Europe and over a hundred games in the NBA.

"I am excited to join the Maccabi family," Lorenzo Brown told the club's website.

"Lorenzo is a tough player, a leader and has excellent delivery ability," coach Oded Katash explained to the club's official website after the signing.

Peak season in Russia,

Brown presented, as mentioned, a great season in the Euroleague in the Onyx Kazan uniform, whose activities in Europe were stopped following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In the role of lead coordinator, he was ranked second in the entire enterprise among the assist morals (6.1 per game), fourth in steals (1.5) and also scored 13.8 points on average.

Lorenzo Brown was born in August 1990 and grew up in Georgia in the southeastern United States.

He excelled in the high school league and after graduation went to a military boarding school in Virginia.

He was selected by Minnesota in 52nd place, but was released.

Brown played in the Development League, also played in the Minnesota, Phoenix and Toronto uniforms and scored 103 appearances in the NBA regular season and four more in the playoffs with the Raptors.

In 2018 he was also selected as the outstanding player of the G-League.

In the 2016/17 season he starred in the Chinese Golden Bulls with averages of 24 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

Also in the 2018/19 season with Guangzhou Long Lions the numbers were similar.

The next stop was Europe.

In August 2019, Lorenzo Brown was signed by the Red Star and held his Euroleague debut season, which was stopped with the outbreak of the corona plague.

In the summer of 2020 he was signed by Fenerbahce and joined the guard team of the Turkish team.

He provided 9.5 points, 3.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per night in the Euroleague, while in the domestic league the averages were 11.9 points, 4.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

Last summer he moved to Kazan and became a key player in the great team basketball presented by Valimir Prasovic's team.

He started in 23 of 24 Euroleague games, scoring good percentages from the field (42.9% of the three in the league) and big shots with a hand in his face.

In the game in Tel Aviv, he sniped against Maccabi 26 points, handed out 6 assists and dropped 6 rebounds on the way to 30 index points.
