With Lovro Zvonarek, FC Bayern has signed a highly talented young player.

The 17-year-old is already a star in his native Croatia.

Munich – FC Bayern fans can look forward to it.

Lovro Zvonarek has been in Munich for a few weeks.

And the CV of the Croatian super talent is impressive.

Last season, at 16 years and 14 days, the midfielder became the youngest goalscorer in the history books of the first division.

Shortly before his 17th birthday he even captained Slaven Belupo Koprivnica.

For at least the next two years, the U18 national player of Croatia is on the Isar.

After just a few days, he was taken with the state capital: “I walked across Marienplatz and looked at the English Garden.

Everything I've seen from Munich so far is really very nice.” In the coming season, the offensive all-rounder will appear in the regional league.

In the last few months he has "watched and followed every amateur and professional game whenever possible," says Zvonarek in an interview on FC Bayern's website.

Lovro Zvonarek at Bayern Munich: The "new Luka Modric" wants to lead the U23s

The youngster, celebrated in his home country as the "new Luka Modric", describes his employer as "one of the biggest clubs in the world.

It makes me very proud to be part of this club".

Like the 36-year-old ex-world footballer and Real Madrid star, Zvonarek wants to lead the way with the U23s: "As a team, we want to win every game.

Personally, I want to make a big contribution to this success and help my teammates on the pitch.”

Zvonarek does not make any claims as to where Martin Demichelis should set him up.

"I'll give my all in every position the coach puts me in," says the 17-year-old, but lets his preferences be known.

"In general, I feel very comfortable in midfield or on the wings." Countryman Gabriel Vidovic, who conducted the U23s last season and is now hoping for his chance with the pros under Julian Nagelsmann, does not find the move palatable to him done, but made it easier to get started.

"When I was here in Munich, of course we exchanged ideas." (Jörg Bullinger)
