The second round of Wimbledon 2022 started today (Wednesday) and alongside light jumps to the next stage, we also got huge surprises on the British turf.
The reigning champion, Novak Djokovic, easily skipped the third round after defeating Australian Thanasi Kokinakis 1: 6, 4: 6, 2: 6.
As you may recall, the Serb is expected to drop to seventh place in the world rankings after the tournament following the cancellation of the ranking points, but that will not really stop him from continuing his journey towards a seventh degree in England and a first Grand Slam this season.

At the same time, a big surprise was recorded on pitch number 2, when Caspar Rod, was surprisingly eliminated by world number 112 Hugo Humbert.
Finalist Roland Garros and ranked sixth in the world lost the first set 6: 3, came back in the second with 2: 6, but lost momentum, and his French opponent went on to a great 7: 5, 6: 4.
