Alice Finot broke her own French record for the 3,000m steeplechase in 9 min 19 sec 57 on Thursday, finishing 2nd in the Stockholm meeting counting for the Diamond League.
In perfect conditions, Finot beat by almost two seconds the record (9:21.41) she had set at the end of May in Huelva, Spain, but she had to admit defeat by Kazakh Daisy Jepkemei (9:15.77 ).
Finot, 31, who lives in Spain, is part of the French selection for the Eugene Worlds in two weeks in the United States (July 15-24).
