In the shadow of the uncertainty ahead of the upcoming season, and when the fan club tries to acquire the team and find a new buyer, Betar Jerusalem announces today (Thursday) three new acquisitions: Avishai Cohen, Hagai Goldenberg and Bar Cohen.
As first reported in Israel Today, right-back Goldberg, who played last year in Sakhnin and Nof Hagalil, has officially joined, as has Bnei Yehuda striker Avishai Cohen last season, and Bar Cohen, Maccabi Tel Aviv's young midfielder, has been on loan until the end of the season.
Bar Cohen said after the first training session: "I am very happy to join a club like Betar Jerusalem. I am happy for the opportunity I was given and hope to return on the field and reach our common goals. Looking forward to meeting our amazing crowd."
Hagai Goldenberg: "Being in Betar Jerusalem is always a great honor, and I am happy to be here. Now is the time to prepare with the peak of strength for this season and wish us success this season."
The three trained with the team this morning and will of course also go to the training camp in Austria (17.7-26.7).
The group will continue to train in the cedar complex in the near future.
