The NBA player market opened up in a storm and created, perhaps, a new contender for the championship.

The Atlanta Hawks sent to San Antonio Italian Danilo Glinari and three first-round draft picks in exchange for Jonathon Marie, the All-Star and who was the undisputed star on Greg Popovic's team last season.

Atlanta, which now holds a formidable backline with Marie and Trey Young, was forced to part ways with a first-round pick in 2023, 2025 and 2027, but only accepts a 25-year-old player who is at his peak of fitness and with his future ahead of him.

Marie recorded his peak season last year with very impressive averages of 21.1 points per game, 9.2 assists, 8.3 rebounds and also 2 steals per game (the most in the NBA).

Glinari, 33, averaged 11.7 points per game and 4.7 rebounds last season and leaves the Hawks after just two seasons.

* James Harden rejected the possibility of continuing in Philadelphia for $ 47.3 million and became a free agent.

Now, with the money freed up and perhaps with the help of a trade for Tobias Harris, Philadelphia are hoping to be able to attach a third star who will make her along with Harden and Ambide a real contender for the championship.
