As a TV expert, Bastian Schweinsteiger can look forward to a new woman at the 2022 World Cup.
Esther Sedlaczek will moderate instead of Jessy Wellmer.
Munich/Cologne – TV hammer on ARD: Less than five months before the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, TV expert Bastian Schweinsteiger will be joined by a new woman.
Instead of Jessy Wellmer, Esther Sedlaczek will be the presenter together with Schweini in the stadium through the live broadcasts at the World Cup, reports

World Cup 2022: Schweinsteiger gets a new ARD woman – Sedlaczek replaces Wellmer
Wellmer was still the ARD face for the top games and the games of the German national team at the 2021 European Championship.
At Schweinsteiger's side, the 42-year-old obviously felt comfortable and convinced with her naturally North German style, and the 2014 world champion also had fun.
However, the interaction between the two was not well received by all viewers.
In particular, the farewell interview with Joachim Löw was Wellmer's undoing.
After the bitter EM loss of the DFB-Elf in the 0: 2 in the round of 16 against England, the sports journalist asked the outgoing national coach a strange question: "How do you say: All's well that ends well?
Or does it all end well?” Wellmer had to take harsh criticism for the curious question.
However, Wellmer should also be used at the 2022 World Cup, but no longer alongside Schweinsteiger.
Various tasks are under discussion, including a talk show or interviews with German players.
Wellmer only had her last Schweini appearance at the DFB Cup final at the end of May.

World Cup 2022: Schweinsteiger and Sedlaczek know each other from the draw
The newcomer to Schweinsteiger's side is Esther Sedlaczek.
Born in East Berlin, she only switched from Sky to ARD in 2021 and is now taking the next step in her career.
She made her debut at the European Championships with the talk format Sportschau-Club.
In winter she took a baby break, since March she has been on the air again and, like Wellmer and Alexander Bommes, is still part of the presenter trio of the sports show.

Sedlaczek has also gained experience at Schweinsteiger's side.
The two were already in front of the camera at the Union vs. St. Pauli (2-1) cup match on March 1st, at Holland vs. Germany (1-1) on March 29th and at the World Cup draw.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will take place from November 21 to December 18 (all dates at a glance).
ARD shows the DFB start against Japan (November 23, 2 p.m.) and the third game against Costa Rica (December 1, 8 p.m.), ZDF broadcasts the second group game against Spain (November 27, 8 p.m.).
A computer recently calculated the most likely world champion – Germany is far behind.
