Mixed Corona years are behind the Skiclub Buch.

The slightly changed board has big plans for the new season.

Buch – The popular ski courses should definitely be realized again in 2022/23.

The last new elections took place in 2019.

At that time, Rudolf Heiss succeeded Chairman Georg Kreuzer.

"I've been for three years, but today is my first AGM," he said.

And the next elections were coming up, but the incumbent made himself available again.

Returning officer and mayor Ferdinand Geisberger joked: "It won't be that easy for the next three years."

Heiss remembered that he last skied on March 7, 2020 and then again on January 3, 2022. For people like him, who love to practice the sport, it was dramatic.

In contrast to 2021, this year we were able to have a reasonably reasonable season again.

The re-elected sports director Stefan Schwaiger informed that the season had gotten off to a rocky start because of Corona - mainly because of the 2G rules in Austria.

That's why the Bucher racing team's first practice sessions didn't take place until January.

"So we had relatively few training sessions, but we were still quite successful," summed up Schwaiger.

18 SC members competed in the district cup series, three of them took first place, four second and one third.

Next winter, two training camps in November and January and two training weekends are planned, and there are also new clothes.

At the end of November there will be internal ski instructor training, and new, committed candidates are also welcome.

The SC had planned ski courses for 2022, but they had to be cancelled.

Schwaiger announced that he would be in charge of the ski courses in the future and promised for next winter: “We definitely want to do ski courses over two weekends in January.

There are no more rejections.”

A single ski course day is also planned in December, where the racing team can also be looked over the shoulder during training.

The ski touring offer, which was even more reduced last winter, is to be intensified again in 2022/23.

"We've got a lot planned for next year," said Heiss happily and, in addition to the "still super good team spirit", praised the commitment of Resi Schwaiger's active sports group.

The chairman also promoted the ski club regulars' table every first Thursday of the month at Gallo Nero.

Geisberger wished the SC "a lot of snow" for the next season.

He hopes that there will be enough snow in Buch again so that the local cross-country ski trail can be groomed.

"Otherwise we'll have to buy a snow cannon," he said with a wink.

The cancellation of the ski courses meant no income for the SC and no increase in membership, the outgoing treasurer Kay Wossidlo informed.

The cash position last amounted to 16,000 euros.

Three loans were fully repaid during the pandemic.

The condition of the club bus caused a discussion.

Heiss informed that recently 3000 euros repair costs have flowed into the Fiat.

"He only has 70,000 kilometers on it, but already the third brakes." When asked by a member, Heiss said that the TÜV extension was due in the fall.

His deputy Christian Weger emphasized the need for the minibus, which is used to transport people as well as material for races: “As of today, we can’t do without it.” Schwaiger suspected that the bus was in poor condition and that it wasn’t moved enough in the summer.

However, the bus can also be used privately, Weger informed.
