A stolen Olympic medal from the Tokyo Olympics, belonging to Jurdin Polter of the U.S. volleyball team, was found in a tin outside a California hair salon

happy ending.

A stolen Olympic gold medal from the Tokyo Olympics, a member of the U.S. women's volleyball team, was found in Southern California. Jordyn Polter reported the medal stolen on May 25, after the Olympic actress discovered her car had been broken into in the parking lot.

Detectives later arrested a theft suspect, but were unable to locate the missing medal.

But this week the news came, after two owners of a barbershop in Anaheim reported finding the gold medal inside a plastic bag thrown in the bin outside their business.

Police were quick to update Polter on the costly loss found, and that they had received the medal and are expected to hand it over soon to a player who has worked hard to achieve in recent games.

Polter was part of the team that won gold at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, after the games were postponed for a year due to the Corona plague.

The 31-year-old suspect is charged with burglary, burglary, identity theft and drug possession, officials said earlier this month.

The suspect, a resident of Anaheim, has a "long criminal record," the police statement said.
