This is exactly how those responsible at Aspis Taufkirchen imagined the start of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary.

Taufkirchen

– Almost 200 spectators got their money's worth in the duel between the regional league club Buchbach and the Bavarian league team Hallbergmoos with eight goals.

The favorite TSV, which will open the season against Unterhaching in two weeks, won 5:3.

There was a curious reason why the high-class game took place on the Aspis site.

It was a hot summer day in early July 2012 when the then DFB referee Karl Valentin wanted to spend a relaxing afternoon in the forest pool.

Until the cell phone of today's sporting director of Aspis rang.

On the other end of the line was Buchbach maker Anton Bobenstetter.

The regional league team tested against FC Alanja Vladivostok, which was playing in Russia's highest league at the time.

“400 spectators were in the stadium, the teams were warming up and a somewhat nervous Bobenstetter told me that although two assistant referees had come, the referee was missing.

He asked: 'Karl, can you whistle?

I can't send the spectators and the opponent home again.'” Valentin spontaneously agreed and was there five minutes before the start of the game.

Buchbach was beaten 2-0 by the 1995 Russian champions under Valentin's leadership.

Now Buchbach had something to give back.

Valentin asked Bobenstetter whether the game could now be moved from Buchbach to Taufkirchen on the occasion of the Aspis anniversary.

The fact that the fourth division team had big problems with the Bayern division team in the first half was not due to the pitch in Taufkirchen, which was almost ready for the Bundesliga.

And so VfB logically took the lead after 16 minutes through Christopher Mömkes' goal.

Tired Buchbachern, who had trained in the morning, lacked the means.

At halftime, the regional league was shaken awake by a cabin sermon from the dissatisfied coach Andreas Bichlmaier.

In the 48th minute, Tobias Sztaf used a misunderstanding between substitute VfB keeper Dario Pavlovic and those in front to equalize.

Substitute Manuel Mattera scored for the now completely different Buchbacher after 53 minutes to make it 2-1, with the VfB newcomer again not making a good impression in the box.

Just moments later, Mattera scored again to make it 3-1.

Before Benedikt Orth made it 4-1 (79th), the referee team around Regionalliga referee Tobias Wittmann had overlooked a clear and active offside position by a Buchbacher.

Perhaps the officials were still thinking about the dog scampering across the square.

Buchbach missed the final phase again.

David Küttner (82nd) and Werner (85th) punished negligence in the TSV defense.

Buchbach's Sassmann (87th minute) made it 5: 3.

“It was difficult for us to get in at the beginning and we made it unnecessarily difficult for ourselves.

In the second half we changed the structure of the game and brought the pace into the game better.

Then we deservedly took the lead.

The goals conceded were all self-inflicted," said Buchbach's coach Bichlmaier.

VfB player coach Matthias Strohmaier drew a lot of good things from the game: "In the first half you could see where we wanted to go.

We could be very satisfied with that.” Buchbach's sporting director Anton Bobenstetter was also satisfied with the test: “We're always happy when we come to Aspis.

We have a very good relationship with the people from Taufkirchen, Karl Valentin and his crew.”

“It was a huge spectacle for our small club.

That makes us really proud,” summarized Aspis Chairman Anastasios Parapanis.

The celebrations continue on Saturday with a blitz tournament.

SC Moosen and FSV Steinkirchen meet at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m. Aspis plays against FC Hohenpolding.

The game for third place will follow at 4 p.m. and the final at 5 p.m.

All games last 45 minutes.
