FC Barcelona bites on granite at FC Bayern when it comes to Robert Lewandowski.
In Munich they supposedly don't even pick up the phone.
Barcelona / Munich - A third, improved offer or a meeting of the striker with Barca coach Xavi: FC Barcelona does not seem to be of any use.
FC Bayern blocks all attempts to get close and would like to keep striker Robert Lewandowski at all costs.
The record champion could thus pursue two strategies: Either he wants to set an example in Poland along the lines of "No one is bigger than the club" - or simply drive the price up to astronomical heights.
Probably a mixture of both.

However, this approach is not entirely without risk: FC Bayern is threatened with unrest for a season with a player who may actually go on strike because he no longer feels like playing for the club.
Nevertheless, the people of Munich are not willing to talk.
Also because far and wide there is no adequate, affordable successor in sight.
Inquiries from Catalonia apparently come to nothing:

Süddeutsche Zeitung
, people in Barcelona are complaining about the difficulty in making contact with Munich.
Bayern officials wouldn't answer the phone when Barca sporting director Mateu Alemany called.

Lewandowski continues to receive no transfer approval from FC Bayern
Allegedly, Barcelona even sent a Lewandowski offer to Munich via "Burofax".
This is a type of registered mail.
Lewandowski is expected to start training in Munich on July 12 - a somewhat strange idea in the current situation.
The highly indebted FC Barcelona is currently doing everything to generate additional income.
The club needs this in order to be able to make large transfers à la Lewandowski.
New players are only allowed to come if money can be saved elsewhere, according to the Spanish league association LFP.
