The Syrian national team for show jumping achieved the gold medal for the teams in the Mediterranean Games currently being held in the Algerian city of Oran.
Our team, composed of jockeys Shadi Gharib, Ahmed Hamsho, Laith Ali and Amr Hamsho, advanced over European, African and Asian teams, stressing that the Syrian jockeys are a difficult number in international forums.
This is the second time in the history of the Mediterranean Games that our equestrian won a medal in team competitions, where the first medal was the silver of the tenth session hosted by Lattakia in 1987.
Our team will participate in the singles competitions at a later time.
