Syrian national boxing team player Ahmed Ghosoun won the gold medal in the 75-kg weight competition in the Mediterranean tournament held in Oran, Algeria.
The gold came after Ghosoun's victory today over Algerian boxer Younes Namouchi in the final match, which was held in the presence of a large crowd, at the end of which they chanted, "Syria is Syria."
Ghosoun had defeated French boxer Vindor in the semi-finals, and in the first round against Serbian Mimic, knowing that Ghosoun is the gold medalist of his weight in the previous edition of the Mediterranean tournament in Spain.
