The Belgian Yves Lampaert created the surprise this Friday by winning the first stage of the Tour de France 2022, a 13 kilometer time trial in Copenhagen.
He is ahead of his compatriot Wout Van Aert and the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, who nevertheless sent a message to his competitors by setting the third fastest time.
Pogacar, winner of the last two editions of the Grande Boucle, finished three seconds ahead of the Italian Filippo Ganna, fourth in this time trial.
