Cristiano dropped a bombshell on Manchester United.
According to a Times article, the Portuguese star made it clear to club officials that "it was time to leave" and asked that they not stand in his way to another team.
One of the main reasons is that the Red Devils will not be participating in the Champions League next season, but only in the Europa League - a factory that CR7 has never played in.
Manchester United are after their worst season in the Premier League era, which included only 16 wins and 57 goals that were enough for only sixth place.
Ronaldo, who is considering his future, is waiting for worthy offers to decide on the next destination and is expected to finish his disappointing second term at Old Trafford in just one year.
The Times also said that the 37-year-old phenomenon is confident that he will be able to play at the highest levels for another three or four years, and is therefore interested in signing a team that aspires to compete for titles.
Despite the great love he has for Manchester United, and his respect for the new manager Eric Tan the brother, the striker is not interested in being part of the rebuilding process in the team.

Ronaldo has scored 18 goals in 30 Premier League appearances last season, and one of the teams mentioned as candidates to take him on is Chelsea, who loaned Romulo Lukaku back to Inter last week and moved to new ownership under American tycoon Todd Bolly.
