Barça probably wants to pay a maximum of 40 million

Joan Laporta, club president of the top Spanish football club FC Barcelona, has given his financial pain threshold for a transfer from world footballer Robert Lewandowski.

As reported by the Spanish media, Laporta stated a transfer fee of 40 million euros as the maximum in a journalist round on Friday.

According to media reports, this is also the sum of the third Barça offer to Bayern.

Barcelona had initially offered 32 and later 35 million euros for the world footballer.

The German record champion is said to be demanding 60 million euros for the striker, who continues to push for a change despite a contract term until 2023.

For Laporta, the Lewandowski transfer is only part of a 200 million euro package.

In addition to the 33-year-old, two players from the English Premier League are on the shopping list: Bernardo Silva from Manchester City and Raphinha from Leeds United.

He also did not rule out a new contract for ex-Dortmund Ousmane Dembele.

The Frenchman has been officially without a club since Friday.

Ex-Schalke Itakura before moving to Borussia Mönchengladbach

According to media reports, defender Kō Itakura is facing a change within the Bundesliga.

As the TV stations Sky and Sport1 reported on their online portals late Friday evening, the 25-year-old Japanese completed a medical check-up at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The central defender, who was loaned from English champions Manchester City to Bundesliga promoted FC Schalke 04 last season, is said to agree with the Gladbachers and will be going to the training camp at Tegernsee next week.

According to Sport1, the Japanese should get a contract until 2026.

A transfer fee of four to five million euros to star coach Pep Guardiola's club is under discussion.

Schalke would have liked to sign Itakura again, but couldn't afford him.

In Manchester, Itakura still has a contract until June 30, 2023.

HSV is on two players

According to media reports, second division club Hamburger SV is still looking for reinforcements.

According to information from the "Bild" newspaper, Manuel de Luca is another striker on the Hanseatic League's shopping list.

The 23-year-old Italian striker belongs to first division club Sampdoria Genoa but was last loaned to second division club AC Perugia.

Meanwhile, the Belgian internet portal »voetbalkrant.com« reported that HSV had contacted the top Belgian club Royal Antwerpen.

His right-back Jelle Bataille, 23, could replace Josha Vagnoman should his move to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart come about.

Mkhitaryan joins Inter Milan

After Romelu Lukaku, Inter Milan has signed the next illustrious name.

Former Dortmund player Henrikh Mkhitaryan joins runners-up Inter on a free transfer from Serie A rivals AS Roma, where he has signed a contract until 2024.

This makes him the first Armenian to wear the Inter shirt.

After moving from BVB to Manchester United in the summer of 2016, Mkhitaryan did not really find his way around the island.

Via Arsenal FC, the midfielder ended up at Roma, where he spent almost three years.

He has made 44 appearances this season and won the first edition of the Conference League with the Mourinho club.

At Inter, the 33-year-old will be teammates with German international Robin Gosens.

Ben Balla of Darmstadt

Second division Darmstadt 98 have signed free midfielder Yassin Ben Balla.

As the fourth-placed player announced on Saturday, the 26-year-old has signed a contract until June 2023. Ben Balla was under contract with FC Ingolstadt last season, but did not play.

The Frenchman has been training with the Darmstadt team since mid-June.

"I'm happy that I can now officially call myself 'Lily'," says Ben Balla.

Kurányi son goes to VfB

Striker Karlo Kurányi, son of former international Kevin Kurányi, is moving to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart and thus to his father's old place of work.

The 16-year-old comes to VfB from city rivals Stuttgarter Kickers and is supposed to strengthen the club's U19s, the Bundesliga club announced on Saturday.

In the past season, Kuranyi scored six goals in 18 games for Kickers in the B-Junior Bundesliga.

Father Kevin Kurányi once scored 40 goals in 99 games for VfB before moving on to FC Schalke.

In 2010, the striker moved to Dynamo Moscow before he played briefly in the Bundesliga again in 2015/2016 at TSG Hoffenheim and then ended his career.

Today he works as a player consultant.

Dresden gets reinforcements on the outside

Third division Dynamo Dresden presented the next new addition to the offensive about three weeks before the start of the new season.

As the SGD announced on Saturday, the 22-year-old Christian Conteh is coming to Florence on the Elbe for a year on loan from the Dutch first division club Feyenoord.

"He's a classic winger - fast, courageous in one-on-ones and with a move to the goal," said sporting director Ralf Becker.

Conteh was trained at FC St. Pauli.
