Wimbledon: Nick Kyrgios attacks the referee after a gesture of humor from Tsitsipas

Opposed this Saturday evening to the Greek player, in the third round of Wimbledon, the tempestuous Australian asked the chair umpire to disqualify him.

Nick Kyrgios true to himself.

The whimsical Australian once again stood out this Saturday during the 3rd round of Wimbledon, where he was opposed to the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

In the second set, the latter powerfully sends a ball into the stands of court number 1, touching, without damage, a person in the public.

It was enough to trigger the wrath of Kyrgios who vigorously attacked the French referee of the meeting, Damien Dumusois.

“It's a disqualification!

Are you stupid or what?

Can you throw a ball at the public, touch someone and not be disqualified?

Now, someone has to get hurt?

You are a disgrace,” vociferated the Australian.

Before adding: “You cannot swing a ball in the public, touch someone and not be disqualified.

The amount of shit the tournament is going to take after my press conference because of you”.

An adventure which is reminiscent of that experienced by Novak Djokovic at the US Open 2020 where Kyrgios had been excluded from the 3rd round after sending a ball to a referee, in anger.

In the round of 16, Rafael Nadal, winner of Lorenzo Sonego, awaits one of these two men.
