More fear than harm.

This Sunday, during the Formula 2 British Grand Prix, the antechamber of F1, two drivers were involved in a spectacular crash on the famous Silverstone circuit.

But fortunately, no injury is to be deplored.

However, the images are enough to trigger some cold sweats.

As the drivers only started the second lap of the race, the Israeli driver Roy Nissany took a far too wide turn before returning to the track without leaving enough space for the Norwegian Dennis Hauger on his left.

The Scandinavian, completely stuck on the side, has no possibility of anticipating the next turn and finds himself in the grass.

He was therefore forced to cut the bend by leaping forward because of his passage over the curb and thus colliding with Roy Nissany who was negotiating this bend at that time.

Protection provided by the safety halo

On the images, we can clearly see the Norwegian's car coming over that of the Israeli, the two cars ending their race in the gravel.

Thanks to the safety halo that protects the pilots in the event of an incident of this type, no serious injuries are to be reported.

The two competitors were even able to get out of their vehicle on their own.

Without this device, Hauger's car would have directly hit Nissany's helmet with the dramatic consequences that one can imagine.

A similar incident had already occurred at Monza last season, in Formula 1 this time, between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

The Dutchman's Red Bull ended up over the Briton's Mercedes.
