A new storm in the United States, after transgender skateboarder Richie Teres won the gold medal in a New York competition, beating 13- and 10-year-olds.
Tres defeated 13-year-old Sheila Katori, who finished in second place, in a skating competition on the street at the Lower York Coleman Skatepark in New York, and took home a $ 500 cash prize.
The competition was open to all ages and levels, but the allocations were separated by gender.

Twin Sheila, who won the event last year, said she was not at all upset by the result.
However, skateboarder Taylor Silverman, said it is not fair that they have to compete against someone who has evolved as a man, making her taller and stronger than their competitors.
Teres, 29, was born Richard Butters.
She was married to Hannah, and the two are divorced and have three children, they still live together and live in shared parenting in Los Angeles.
Her three children call her "mother" and tell her she is "beautiful," she revealed in an interview last year.
She served four years in the Navy as a mechanic, and was not allowed last year to compete in the Women’s Olympics qualifiers because her testosterone levels were too high.
