"Hemed at Zahavi's age. He has two more years to give at the top levels of the league"
Hapoel Beer Sheva is celebrating the signing of the 35-year-old striker, confident that "his age has no meaning", and waiting for the unique contribution he will make: "We have no striker in his style."
Alona Barkat does not rule out signing another foreigner in the position: "All the big ones have armed themselves, we also need diversity"

Hapoel Beer Sheva are very pleased with the signing of Tomer Hemed, even though the player has been quite out of sight in recent seasons and joins long after his record in Europe.
"Tomer maintains a sporting life and takes care to maintain his body, so it doesn't matter so much that he has already crossed the age of 35," the club said yesterday (Sunday) in light of the fact that the striker is coming to the club at such an advanced age.
"Eran Zehavi is also the same age as Tomer Hemed and everyone is convinced that Maccabi Tel Aviv has brought in the most important player that can be added. Tomer has another year or two to give at the high levels of the Premier League and he will prove it."
The team has several pioneers on the roster.
Itai Schechter, Eugene Ansa, Sagiv Yechezkel and even Rotem Hatuel who can play close to Spitz.
"All of these players have a pretty similar character, but we have not had a Tomer Hemed-style striker so far and that is what pushed the deal. Tomer is a typical wide striker. A player of touch and head play. These are his strengths and he will give us a lot of wide presence," they say. At Hapoel Beer Sheva.
"In addition to all, Tomer also has a personality that fits very well with what we built here last summer. Players like Tibi, Schechter, Gordana alongside Vitor, Hatem and Barreiro. And now Tomer with his special character and his contribution to each dressing room. This is a fantastic signing."

The club does not rule out that Alona Barkat will sign another foreign striker and will not stop greedily in everything related to the attack.
"All the greats have been armed with quality strikers, so we too need to have a variety of good strikers," the club said.
The team will start its training camp in Krakow today after the team took off for Polly late last night from Ben Gurion Airport. Tomorrow the team will play its first training match against the Romanian Volunteer. The training camp will end with a training match next Monday against Karmiotisa from Cyprus, and the next day the team will return to Israel and prepare for the Champions League match against Maccabi Haifa, which will be held on Saturday the 16th of the month.
