Maccabi Tel Aviv today (Monday) signed Jarl Martin (2.08 meters, 28 years old) for two years.

The American power forward recently won the Australian League Championship with a great performance in the playoffs and will now join the Yellows' front line.

"Jarl is a very versatile player. He is a good attacking player and a very good rebounder on both sides of the pitch," explained coach Oded Katash.

"He has played in the NBA and Australia so he will have to adapt to the Euroleague, but I trust him to do it in the best way possible. He is a team player who was a significant part of a team that won a championship in Australia."

Excellent timing,

Jarl Martin is a long forward with excellent timing, athletic ability and good long-range shooting.

Last season he hit 37.5% of the three in the regular season, an accuracy that only increased during the playoffs, along with 16 points and 7.9 rebounds per game on average.

In the final series he has already provided over 16 points and 11.3 rebounds per evening.

Martin was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He displayed excellent ability in high school basketball and was accepted to the LSU College League.

In his second season, he averaged 16.9 points and 9.2 rebounds and put himself up for selection in the NBA Draft.

He was selected by Memphis in 25th place and began his professional career in the Grizzlies uniform.
