Successful opening: Noam Memo advanced to the finals of the European Championships in the 800 meters Israel today

Despite the mediocre opening at his end, Memo went on to close, when in the final half of the round, he climbed to second place and crossed the finish line instead.

He did so in a time of 1: 53.48 minutes, which ranked him fourth overall. 

The 16-year-old Memo, the great hope for a historic medal in the competition, advanced to the finals with the second time in nature.

The young athlete knew that in order to run for the medals, he had to finish automatically between the first two places, or between the two fastest times, between the three allotments - and as mentioned, he was up to the task.

The finals will take place on Thursday at 8:10 p.m.
