The chairman of the budget control, CPA Sigalit Sage, announced today (Tuesday) to Betar Jerusalem that it will allow the submission of a realistic budget for the 2022/23 season until Sunday, July 10 at 11:00, as published last night in Israel Today".
In a letter to the club, Sage states that the control contacted the team on May 19, early in relation to the other teams, given the clear and well-known situation, in order to examine the team's preparations for the 22/23 season.
Sage emphasizes that throughout the period conversations were held with the relevant functionaries, data required by the control were transmitted and it is evident that a great effort was made as well as reaching practical solutions for the group so that it could meet the control requirements.
The solutions put forward by the club's leaders were presented in full transparency to the control and proved that the group is working on several levels in favor of the issue, including reducing the group's debts, significantly reducing the deficit and trying to present a realistic budget.
However, due to the season opening schedules dictated by the budget control regulations and in view of the recent conversation with club heads in which additional possible solutions were presented, the control agreed to allow completion of the remaining documents, including a realistic and updated budget, by next Sunday.
In her letter, the chairman of the control clarified that no deviation from this date would be allowed to the extent that there would be no dramatic change in the data presented to it so far.
