After good work from his Jumbo-Visma team, Wout Van Aert broke away from the peloton 10 km from the finish line to claim his first victory in this Tour de France 2022. The Belgian therefore consolidates his yellow jersey and widens the gap on his opponents.
This is his seventh career stage victory in the Tour de France.
His last victory dated back to 2021, when he won on the Champs-Élysées during the last stage.
