PSG officially announced today (Tuesday) the appointment of Christoph Galatia as its new coach for the next two seasons.
The Frenchman will replace Mauricio Pochettino after a season and a half at the club, in which he failed in his main task: to lead the team to the decisive stages in the Champions League.
Galtier, 55, who was in charge of a big championship with Lille in the 2020/21 season, said after the signing: "Today he takes on the role of Paris Saint-Germain coach with joy and pride. We all know what the team represents today in French and international football. Ambition, rigor And optimizing the team's potential will be my guidelines. "

Outgoing coach Pochettino will reportedly receive compensation of over ten million euros as his contract expires only next summer.
